According to Sûreté du Québec (SQ) spokesperson Audrey-Anne Bilodeau, a boy was taken to hospital after a confrontation involving at least one other individual on May 15th. He later died from his injuries, which were described as “serious.”
The incident occurred around 6 p.m. on Thursday near the intersection of St-Georges Street and Mercier Street in St-Jean-sur-Richelieu. Bilodeau did not provide specific details about what led to the altercation.
As of Friday evening, investigators and forensic technicians remained at the scene as the investigation continues. No arrests have been made, and the suspect is still at large.
