Longueuil police initially considered the deaths suspicious and later confirmed that the case involved femicide—the killing of a woman.

Officers responded to a wellness check request at a home in Boucherville, Que., on Thursday February 13th at around 8:45 a.m., where they discovered the bodies of 73-year-old Michel Gosselin and 71-year-old Ginette Gosselin, who lived together. An autopsy helped clarify the situation, and the investigation is still ongoing.
