On November 27, 2022, Jodine Millar, 57, was reported missing from her residence in Coquitlam, BC.

IHIT said based on evidence her disappearance was a result of foul play, on December 2, 2022.

IHIT investigators determined that Jodine Millar was murdered. On October 12, 2023, 30-year old Carson Mackay, was arrested in Calgary, Alberta, in relation to her murder. Mackay was charged with the second-degree murder of Jodine Millar.

“Our investigators worked diligently in their search to locate Jodine Millar. We would like to thank IHIT for their assistance when this missing person investigation turned into a homicide investigation,” said Officer in charge of Coquitlam RCMP, Superintendent Keith Bramhill. “We hope these charges provide some answers to Jodine’s friends and family.”
