The 2023 Edmonton homicide victim list is available here

Southwest Edmonton Branch patrol officers responded to the report of a weapons complaint in an apartment building in the area of 106 Street and 80 Avenue on October 11, 2023, at approximately 10:00 a.m.

On arrival police located a male was located with serious, life-threatening injuries. He was pronounced deceased at the scene by EMS.

Friday, Oct. 13, 2023, the Edmonton Medical Examiner completed an autopsy on Jordan McDonald, 32. The cause of death was a gunshot wound, and the manner of death is confirmed to be homicide.

The investigation is ongoing.
