61-year-old man stabbed to death on Sainte-Catherine Street in Montreal’s 6th homicide of the year

Montreal police found a 61-year-old man unconscious with stab wounds downtown on Sainte-Catherine Street at approximately 2:30am on May 5th.

Police located the man near the Drummond Street intersection of Sainte-Catherine Street during their overnight patrol of the area. Although police cannot confirm if the man was homeless, with the city shut down due to the pandemic, there isn’t much nocturnal activity on the streets at that time.

Police located a 61-year-old male suspect near the scene, but have not released if charges have been laid.
