51-year-old man was arrested in connection with a 2024 homicide in Saint John

On May 14, 2024, at around 10:58 a.m., police responded to a report of a deceased individual at a home in the 650-block of Brunswick Drive in Saint John.

Following a postmortem examination and an investigation conducted by the Major Crime Unit, the death was determined to be a homicide. Investigators confirmed that the victim and the suspect were known to each other.

On October 2, 2025, a 51-year-old man was arrested by the Saint John Police and charged with manslaughter.

He appeared in court on October 3, 2025, and was released under conditions. He is scheduled to return to court on October 31, 2025, at 9:30 a.m. to make an election.
