Police are searching for the mother of a newborn who was left in a parking lot behind the Bownesian Grocer on December 24th between the hours of 3pm and 11:30pm.
Calgary police were called to the 0-100 block of Rundlehorn Terrace N.E., for reports of a man in medical distress on Thursday December 7th at approximately 1am.
Police and paramedics arrived at the scene to find a 29 year old man in serious condition. The victim was pronounced deceased at the scene by paramedics. The cause of death has not been released at this time.
Police say that it is alleged that siblings got into an argument where the younger brother received a fatal injury. Police arrested the victim’s 34 year old brother at the scene. Second degree murder charges are pending.
The name of the victim will be released once his next of kin is notified.
Wayne Runner, 34, is charged with one count of second-degree following an altercation that left his brother, Cory Runner, 29, deceased.
Calgary police were called to a residence in the 1800 block of 38 Street S.E. on November 15th at approximately 12:30 pm on report of a man in medical distress.
On arrival police said “officers experienced the impacts of pepper spray”. Once they were able to search the home police located the victim who was pronounced dead at the scene.

Deibi Francisco Monterroso Salazar was located by RCMP in the Strathmore area, where he was arrested without incident.
Update November 22
Calgary police have identified the victim as Humberto Panameno 36. The estranged spouse of the accused said Humberto Panameno sacrificed his life to save her and her children and mother.
Officers responded to a call in the 5500 block of Maddock Drive N.E on November 15th at approximately 5am on report of an assault.
Police located a 15 year old in medical distress. The boy was rushed to hospital where he died of his injuries.
A suspect has been taken into custody. Investigators believe there is no risk to the public.
Police said a homicide occurred at the same address in 2016.

Update November 22
A 16 year old boy has been charged with first degree murder in the stabbing death of 15 year old Leslie Sunwalk. Police said the victim and the accused were known to each other, and the stabbing was not random.
Calgary police were called to the area of Ranchero Rise N.W. approximately 4pm where a man was found dead in a vehicle, parked in an alley.
Police said that at this time this death is not believed to be connected to the Pineridge death on Friday.
An autopsy has been scheduled for this week to determine the identity of the victim and cause of death. No other information is available at this time.

Calgary police were called to the 100 block of Pineside Place N.E. on Friday November 3rd at approximately 3:50pm on report of a dead body being found in a home.
Police said The Homicide Investigation Team has been called in and that no other information will be released at this time.

Update November 7th
Christopher Thomas Dejarlais, 41, of Calgary, has been charged with second-degree murder in the death of Randeep Dhaliwal. Police believe the suspect and victim were known to eachother.
Calgary Police were called to an apartment building in the 3400 block of 31 A Avenue S.E. on October 28th at approximately 3:30am.
On arrival police located a man in his 20’s deceased. The Homicide unit has taken over the investigation. Police said the name of the victim will be released once the autopsy is complete.

Update November 2
Police have identified the victim as Mvemba Eriq Afonso, 23. Mourad Gasmi, 21, and Shannoh Jabet, 22, both of Calgary, have been arrested on Canada-wide warrants for second-degree murder and have been remanded into custody in Montreal.
Emergency crews were called to a home in the 5300 block of Rundlehorn Drive N.E., for a report of a child in medical distress on September 27th at approximately 11:30am.
Police said 3 year old Ivy Wick was taken to hospital with significant injuries. Calgary police reported that Doctors at the hospital said Ivy’s injuries were not consistent with a fall. Ivy ward was taken off life support on October 5th.
Homicide Unit has taken over the investigation. According to Calgary police the death of Ivy Wick has not been ruled a homicide by the Office of the Chief Medical Examiner as further test results are pending, however, the case is being investigated as such.

Calgary police were called to the 700 block of 67 Avenue S.W. around 8:20 pm, October 27th, on report of a disturbance.
Police arrived to find Jordan Gregory Frydenlund 30, suffering from serious injuries. He was pronounced deceased at the scene by paramedics.
Police are looking for the public’s help to locate Jonathan Sylvanus Francis Sylvester.
Calgary police were called to a residence in the 2300 block of Oakmoor Drive S.W, after a man was found deceased inside the home by a family member on October 15th at approximately 4:45pm.
Police initially said the death of the man in his 20’s was suspicious in nature, however they are now looking for a person of interest, Mohammadali Darabi, 32, of Calgary.Darabi is being sought in connection with the death of his roommate.
It is believed that Darabi fled the scene in a silver-coloured, 2006 Toyota Corolla with Alberta plate BKW 1855. He is described at 6’1″ 168lbs.
Darabi should not be approached, call police at 911 if you have information about Darabi’s whereabouts.
Update October 18th
Police have identified the victim as Cyrus Ebrahimi, 29. Police found the Corolla on October 17th in Revelstoke BC. As RCMP apporoached the vehicle they noticed a non responsive man inside. Police believe the driver of the vehicle was the suspect, however his identity had not been proven. An autopsy has been scheduled to determine cause of death and the drivers identity.
