The Edmonton Police Service received a call of distress at a basement apt on Saturday December 12th. On arrival they found Yvette Lydia Morin 28 suffering from a life threatening wound.

Paramedics rushed Morin to hospital where she died later that day. Autopsy has confirmed Morin died of a gunshot wound.
