Yellowknife police responded to the report of an injured man on October 15th at 8:01 a.m. at a home on 47th Street.

Police said the victim suffered a single stab wound and was taken to hospital where he later died from his injuries.

On February 12th 2024 RCMP said said they had identified a suspect in the case, but that the suspect had died while police were still investigating and gathering evidence.

Investigators determined that the man’s death in October was related to intimate partner violence.

RCMP say their investigation is concluded and they are not looking for other suspects.
