On November 23, 2025, at about 1:30 p.m., Winnipeg Police responded to a call reporting possible human remains found in an alley in the 600 block of Selkirk Avenue.

Officers from the North District secured the area, and Forensic Identification personnel took custody of the remains.

An autopsy later confirmed that the partial remains were human.

The Homicide Unit is now treating the case as a suspicious death. No details about the individual’s identity are currently available.
