Victim in Dawson Creek Homicide identified as Edmonton man Jesse Twain

On October 13, 2025, Dawson Creek RCMP discovered a burned silver 2005 Mazda 6 near 251 Road and the Kiskatinaw River. Human remains were found inside, and the RCMP’s E Division Serious Crime Unit has taken over the case, now being treated as a homicide.

The victim has been identified as 29-year-old Jesse Twain from Edmonton, Alberta.

“All indications suggest that this is a homicide, and police look to the public to help further the investigation. We are looking to speak to anyone that may have knowledge of this incident, or that had seen a grey 2005 Mazda 6” said Supt Wijayakoon of the BC-RCMP

Police are appealing to the public for information about the incident, sightings of the vehicle, or details about Jesse Twain’s activities leading up to his death. Anyone with information is asked to contact the RCMP’s dedicated tip line at 1-877-987-8477.
