The 2025 Nova Scotia Homicide Victim List is available here

The RCMP Integrated Major Crime Unit is investigating a homicide that occurred in North Preston on November 2. Around 4:58 p.m., police and paramedics responded to reports of gunfire near Cain Street and Clarence Street.

When officers arrived, they found 28-year-old Jayden Tynes suffering from gunshot wounds. He was taken to the hospital but later died from his injuries.

The investigation is ongoing with assistance from several RCMP and forensic units. Police are asking anyone with information or dashcam footage from the area between 4 p.m. and 6 p.m. on November 2 to contact the RCMP/HRP Integrated Major Crime Unit at 902-490-5333.
