Vancouver, British Columbia 2026 Homicide Victim List
Authorities have upgraded the charges against the man accused in a vehicle-ramming incident that took place in Vancouver’s West End last month.
Tadd Bali is now charged with second-degree murder and attempted murder, along with two counts of dangerous operation of a motor vehicle causing bodily harm.
The upgraded charges follow the death of an elderly wheelchair user who was critically injured in the incident and later died in hospital on May 24. Family members have identified the victim as Johnny Sudds.

Police allege that Bali deliberately drove a Jeep onto the sidewalk near the intersection of Broughton and Comox streets. During the incident, the vehicle struck Sudds before later colliding with a police cruiser responding to the scene.
Two police officers were injured in the crash but were treated and released from hospital the same day.
Bali remains in custody as the case moves through the court system.
