Vancouver Police investigate the fatal stabbing of Zachary Trimble in East Vancouver

Vancouver police responded to the report of a stabbing at a home on Bruce Street shortly before 3 a.m on June 5th.

Police located 23-year-old  Zachary Trimble, suffering from serious injuries outside of the home. Investigators said he later died of his injuries.

A 27-year-old man was arrested at the scene, however, police have not announced what charges he may be facing. VPD said the victim and suspect were known to each other.

Update Vancouver police have announced that Alexander Trimble, 27, has been charged with second-degree murder in relation to the stabbing death of his brother.
