Update: Three people charged in connection with the homicide of Jordan Lee Morin in Saskatoon

Saskatoon police attended to a residence in the 200 block of Avenue I South in response to information of an injured person on August 16th.

Officers arrived at the scene and were engaging with the occupants of the home, when human remains were located on the property. At that time, the occupants of the home were taken into custody for a homicide investigation. The the deceased has been identified as 30-year-old Jordan Lee Morin.

As a result, a 37-year-old Saskatoon man has been charged with second-degree murder, and a 24-year-old Saskatoon woman is charged with accessory after the fact to murder.

Update: On September 16, 2024, police arrested and charged a 27-year-old Saskatoon woman for being an accessory after the fact to murder. The woman was also charged with “indecently interfere with and offer indignity to human remains.”

Update: On November 12, 2024, investigators attended to a correctional facility in Saskatoon and effected the arrest of a 37-year-old man for indecently interfering with and offering an indignity to human remains; he had previously been charged with the second-degree murder of Jordan Lee Morin. On this same day, investigators arrested a 28-year-old man from the same correctional facility in relation to this investigation; he has been charged with the second-degree murder of Jordan Lee Morin.
