Elk Point RCMP responded to the report of a deceased woman found deceased outside on Frog Lake First Nation on December 26th at approximately 4:00pm.

The victim has been identified as Louanne Martha Cardinal, 29, of Saddle Lake First Nation. Her cause of death has not been released.

As a result of the investigation, Trevor Moyah of Frog Lake was arrested on December 30th, and charged with manslaughter and assault causing bodily harm.
