Toronto police were called to a collision at an apartment building near the intersection of Victoria Park Avenue and Cassandra Boulevard.
Three adults were rushed to hospital where an adult woman died of her injuries. The other two victims are believed to have non-life-threatening injuries. The Fourth victim was assessed by paramedics at the scene.
Duty Insp. Keri Fernandes told reporters “There is some information that these people were struck intentionally and that is why homicide is investigating.”
The deceased has been identified as Karen Montague, 61, of Toronto.
Ciro Garofano, 79, of Toronto, has been arrested and charged with:
- First Degree Murder
- two counts Attempt Murder
