Toronto police responded to a call for a shooting in Sheppard Avenue West and Weston Road area on, August 27, 2024 at approximately 12:05 a.m., .

On arrival police located Arslan Ahmad, 21, of Brampton, who had been shot was located inside a business. Ahmad was transported to hospital with critical injuries, where he was pronounced deceased on Monday, September 2, 2024.

Update: Investigators have released a video that shows a vehicle and two suspects from that vehicle.

Suspect #1 has a thin build and is wearing a dark hoodie, dark pants, dark shoes
Suspect #2 has a thin build, slightly taller than Suspect #1, wearing a grey hoodie, dark pants, and dark shoes

Suspect vehicle is described as a newer model Toyota Rav4, white in colour, black roof, black rims, and tinted windows.  The vehicle may have a personalized license plate.

Investigators are seeking the public’s assistance identifying the suspects and vehicle involved.
