Toronto police were called to the Mount Olive Drive/Kipling Avenue area for a shooting on September 23, 2023, at 11:41 p.m.

Police said one group of people drove up to another group of people and opened fire. A male from the other group was shot and pronounced deceased at the scene. and the vehicle fled.

At 11:53 p.m., police responded to the Martin Grove Road/Finch Avenue West area where they located the fleeing vehicle with a male suffering from gunshot injuries. He was rushed to hospital where he died of his injuries.

Police said other people made their own way to hospital with various gunshot injuries ranging from non-life-threatening to life-threatening injuries
