The 2023 Toronto Homicide Victim List is available here
Toronto police attended a call for an Assault in the Danforth Avenue and Jones Avenue area on January 24th at approximately 3:35pm.
Police said a suspect was walking along Danforth Avenue when he approached the victim and assaulted him. The victim fell to the ground and the suspect fled the scene.
The victim who has been identified as Douglas (Michael) Finlay, 73, died of his injuries.
As a result of the investigation, a warrant in the First has been issued for Robert Robin Cropearedwolf, 43, of Toronto.
He is wanted for:
- Manslaughter
Update February 28th
On Tuesday, February 28, 2023, Robert Robin Cropearedwolf, 43, of Toronto surrendered to police at 52 Division. He is charged with:
- Manslaughter
He appeared in court via video conference on Tuesday, February 28, 2023, at College Park Court.
Update: Robert Robin Cropearedwolf, 45, pleaded guilty to Manslaughter at Ontario Court of Justice in Toronto on Thursday May 9th, 2024, according to court documents.
