Toronto police responded to the report of a shooting in the area of Morecambe Gate and Chester Le Boulevard at approximately 1:37 in the afternoon of July 4th.
Police and paramedics arrived to find Andre Charles, 43, of Toronto, suffering from gunshot wounds in a parking lot. Charles was rushed to hospital where he was pronounced deceased.

Update July 30
Toronto police arrested Shamar Bailey, 21, of Toronto, on July 29th. Bailey has been charged with First-degree murder.
Toronto Police Service issued a warrant for the arrest of Kwami Garrwood, 21, of Toronto. He is wanted for First-degree murder. He is believed to be armed, violent, and dangerous, If encountered, do not approach. Call 9-1-1 immediately.
Update August 4th
Toronto police arrested a 16-year-old boy, from Toronto, on August 4th. He is charged with First Degree Murder and will appear in court at 1911 Eglinton Avenue East, on Tuesday, August 4, 2020, at 10 a.m.
Kwami Garrwood, 21, of Toronto, is still wanted on a warrant for First Degree Murder. He is believed to be armed, violent, and dangerous. If encountered, do not approach. Call 9-1-1 immediately.
