Update Charges Laid: Toronto Homicide #16 – Police investigating the fatal shooting of Mamadou Drame downtown

Toronto police officers responded to a report of the sound of gunshots at O’Keefe Lane and Gould Street on March 21st at approximately 7:41pm.

Police and paramedics arrived to find a man suffering from gunshot wounds. The Victim was rushed to hospital where he succumbed to his injuries. More information will be added as it becomes available.

Investigators urge anyone with security footage, dashcam video, or any information concerning this incident, to contact police at 416-808-7400.

Update June 11th
The victim has been identified as Mamadou Drame, 25, of Toronto. Police are searching for a suspect who is described as approximately 5’10, medium build, thick black-framed glasses, and in his 20s. View the suspect at TPS YouTube link.

Update June 25th
Toronto police arrested Lashshantee Keslow, 21, of Toronto, on June 24th, and charged him with Second Degree Murder.
