Three Thunder Bay Residents Charged with Second-Degree Murder After Fatal Pearl Street Incident

The Thunder Bay Police Service’s Primary Response Unit responded to a weapons-related call in the 200 block of Pearl Street during the early hours of July 19. Upon arrival, officers located an adult male victim suffering from critical injuries.

The victim, identified as 32-year-old Allan Faykes, was transported to hospital, where he was later pronounced deceased.

Following the fatal incident, the Major Crimes Unit took over the investigation. Through their efforts, three suspects—all residents of Thunder Bay—were identified and taken into custody. Each has been formally charged with second-degree murder:

  • Kyran Annala, 20
  • Dylan Wabason, 22 — also charged with breach of probation and breach of firearms prohibition
  • Stephanie Wanakamik, 45
