Update: Three Charged – The Regina Police Service has launched an investigation into the death of a man

Regina police were called to a home in the 1000 block of 12th Avenue shortly before 1 a.m. on November 1, 2025, where they discovered a deceased 19-year-old male. The scene was secured, and members of the Major Crime Unit and Forensic Identification Unit were brought in to assist.

Police say it is still early in the investigation, and no further details, including the victim’s name, are being released at this time.

Police said the cause of death was a gunshot wound.

Update: Regina police announced on November 9th that a 16-year-old male has been charged with second-degree murder, possession of a firearm contrary to a prohibition order, and failing to comply with conditions of an undertaking. He will appear in Regina Provincial Youth Court on November 10, 2025, at 9:30 a.m.

Two others are also charged in connection with the case:

A 17-year-old female is charged with accessory after the fact to murder, possession of a firearm knowing its possession is unauthorized, and possession of a firearm contrary to a prohibition order. She will also appear in Youth Court at 9:30 a.m.

Trevor Whitequill, 44, is charged with accessory after the fact to murder and will appear in Regina Provincial Court at the same time.
