Naomi Onotera was reported last seen on August 28, 2021, leaving her home and was reported missing the next day. The Langley RCMP have been conducting an extensive missing persons investigation and IHIT has been called in to assist.

The Integrated Homicide Investigation Team also confirmed that they have begun searching Onotera’s home.

Update December 18th
Sgt. David Lee, a media relations officer with IHIT said a person has been taken into custody on December 17th, however no charges have been laid at this time. “IHIT is continuing the search at the Onotera residence,” said Lee, “We will be there for the rest of [Friday], if not, continuing tomorrow.”
