Nikita Dedam charged with second-degree murder in the death of Christopher Dedam in Esgenoôpetitj First Nation a homicide

Tracadie RCMP detachment responded to a report of an unresponsive man at a home on Micmac Road on August 25th at 10:15am.

Police arrived to find Christopher Dedam, 34, of the Esgenoôpetitj First Nation deceased. The cause of death has not been released.

Police arrested a 33-year-old woman from Esgenoôpetitj First Nation on August 26th in relation to the death.

RCMP announced that 34-year-old Nikita Dedam has been charged with second-degree murder following an investigation by the RCMP Major Crime Unit into the homicide of Christopher Dedam.
