The 2023 Manitoba Homicide Victim List is available here

South Indian Lake RCMP received a report from the community nursing station that a 47-year-old female, who had been seriously injured in an assault, was being transported to Winnipeg via medevac with life-threatening injuries on February 19th at approximately 9:50 am.

The victim has been identified are Noreen Tait, 47, and her family advised investigators that the victim was at a residence located on Wasagan Road where it is believed she was assaulted.

On February 21, 2023, the victim succumbed to her injuries. Her death is being investigated as a homicide.

Update:
On March 6, 2023, Phillip Soulier, 50, of O-Pipon-Na-Piwin Cree Nation, was arrested and charged with Manslaughter
