British Columbia 2026 Homicide Victim List

Police in Sooke, B.C., are investigating after a man was found dead under suspicious circumstances in a mobile home park on West Coast Road early April 11, 2026 at approximately 3:20am.

Sooke RCMP responded just after 3:20 a.m. and began gathering evidence at the scene, which led investigators to a suspect vehicle believed to be connected to the death. The vehicle was later located about an hour away by West Shore RCMP, and two people inside were arrested.

The Vancouver Island Integrated Major Crime Unit has since taken over the investigation, with support from local RCMP detachments.

“VIIMCU investigators are seeking any sightings or dash cam footage of a red MINI Cooper between the hours of midnight and 4:00 a.m. on April 11, 2026 between Sooke and West Shore Parkway in Langford, BC.”, said Corporal Alex Bérubé, spokesperson with the RCMP.
