Six people have been charged in connection with a homicide investigation in Aurora, according to York Regional Police.

Police say officers responded to a call for an unknown trouble incident at a residence near Wellington Street East and Walton Drive on June 10, 2026, at approximately 2:45 p.m. Upon arrival, officers discovered an adult man who had suffered significant injuries.

The victim was pronounced dead at the scene.

The Office of the Chief Coroner later identified the victim as 55-year-old David Gosse, who had no fixed address. An autopsy determined that his death was caused by blunt force trauma, and the case was ruled a homicide.

As the investigation progressed, York Regional Police charged six individuals in connection with the killing. James Montgomery, 44, of Alliston, has been charged with second-degree murder.

The other accused are Craig Wilson, 31, of no fixed address; Jaymie White, 36, of Georgina; Fabio Faganello, 58, of Aurora; Maria Faganello, 54, of Aurora; and Bianka Faganello, 29, of Aurora.

Investigators have not released additional details regarding the specific charges against the remaining suspects.

The homicide investigation remains ongoing, and police are continuing to gather evidence.

Authorities are asking anyone who witnessed the incident, has not yet spoken with investigators, or may have security camera footage from the area to come forward.

Update July 4th 2026: York Regional Police have dropped the second-degree murder charges previously laid against Fabio Faganello and Maria Faganello in connection with a homicide that occurred in Aurora last month.

Investigators said the charges were withdrawn after new evidence determined that neither individual was involved in the killing.

Four other accused continue to face second-degree murder charges in the case: Bianka Faganello, 29, of Aurora; Craig Wilson, 31, of no fixed address; Jaymie White, 36, of Georgina; and James Montgomery, 44, of Alliston.
