RCMP said Arlene Susan Westervelt,56, died while canoeing on June 26th, 2016, on
Okanagan Lake. Police said her body was found in 35 feet of water 100 meters from the shore the following day.

After a lengthy investigation police arrested Lambertus (Bert) Westervelt, 63, on April 6th, 2019 and charged him with the murder of his wife.
