Saint John Police Force responded to a stabbing at a residence on Charles Street on August 17th at approximately 3:57 p.m.
Police arrived to find 39-year-old Justin David Breau suffering from serious injuries. He was rushed to hospital where he was pronounced deceased.
Police said three unidentified masked men wearing dark clothing forced their way into an apartment where Breau was stabbed. The suspects fled the scene on foot towards Garden Street. No arrests have been made.
- According to reports In December 2020, Justin Breau was found not guilty in relation to the 2019 shooting death of Mark Shatford.
The following people have been arrested and charged with first-degree murder in Breau’s death.
- Charles William Shatford, 47.
- Donald Robert Walker, 50.
- Dustin Walker-Hammond, 24.
- Travis Boudreau, 32.
- Sarah Belzil, 36.
Evan Lous Tobias, 28, is wanted on an outstanding arrest warrant. He described as six feet tall with a medium build. He has black curly hair and brown eyes. Tobias has a tattoo on his left cheek and above his right eye.

Investigators are appealing for witnesses or anyone in the area that has cell phone photographs or video, dash-cam footage or video surveillance on Wednesday, August 17, 2022, between 3:30 p.m. and 4:30 p.m. Anyone with information is asked to contact the Saint John Police Force at 1-506-648-3333.
