Ontario Provincial Police have announced that Robert Waite, 69, was a victim of homicide after a post-mortem. Waite was found in a Cainsville home, in Brant County on March 1st.

No cause of death or suspects have been announced as of yet. This is the first murder of 2017 in Brant County, which surrounds Brantford, Ontario.

James Christopher Bamsey 50, was arrested on November 29th and charged with first degree murder in relation to the death of Robert Waite
