Rainy River District detachment responded to a call for assistance at a home in the trailer park on March 7th. Police found Lovern Affleck 77, and Carol Affleck 66, dead in their home.

Police had the area on lock-down for 12 hours on March 7th while they investigated.

37 year old Tyler John Cousineau who is believed to have lived across the road from the victims has been charged with second degree murder.
