Update: Charges laid – Regina police investigate the death of Jason Lee Bird as a homicide

Regina Police Service were dispatched to the 800 block of Princess Street on the report of an injured man on July 15th at approximately 5:00am.

Officers provided first aid to the victim until paramedics arrived. 33-year-old Jason Lee Bird was rushed to hospital where he died of his injuries.

Anyone who has information that could assist police and the Saskatchewan Coroners Service in this investigation is asked to contact the Regina Police Service at 306-777-6500.

Update August 7th
Regina police arrested twenty-seven year-old Terrance DESNOMIE, of the Fort Qu’Appelle district on August 4th and charged him with

  • First-degree Murder, section 235(1) CC;
  • Possession of Stolen Property (auto), s. 355(a) CC;
  • Breach of Release Order, s. 145(5) CC; and
  • Possession of a Weapon for a Purpose Dangerous to Public Peace, s. 88 CC.
