Hamilton Homicide #9 – Jed Anger Junior has been identified as the victim of a homicide in the Stinson neighbourhood

Hamilton Police responded to the area of Victoria Avenue South and Young Street in Hamilton on June 25th at approximately 10:30 am.

Police located Jed Anger Junior a 38-year-old man of Hamilton deceased in a wooded area near the train tracks. Police said “A postmortem was able to determine the cause of death, however the manner of death was unable to be determined.” Investigations later revealed that there was an altercation between Jed and two others that lead to his death.

On Firday July 16th police announced that Sebastian Winter, 26, of Hamilton, and Breyanne Moreau, 23, of Hamilton have both been arrested and charged with Second degree murder.

 Update: The charge against Winter was stayed in September 2021 due to insufficient evidence.

Update September 14th 2023
Breyanne Moreau, pleaded guilty to manslaughter in a Hamilton courtroom Wednesday, September 13th.

According to The Hamilton Spectator “Early on the morning of his death, the 38-year-old visited the encampment south of Carter Park, near the escarpment rail trail, where friends had been staying. Court heard he and Winter were having a consensual fistfight when Moreau grabbed a knife and swung once, stabbing Anger in the left eye.”
