Meadow Lake RCMP received a call about an unresponsive individual found in a parking lot near Highway 4 and 1 Avenue West in Meadow Lake at around 8:50 a.m. on November 28, 2025.

When officers arrived, they found an adult woman who was pronounced dead at the scene. She has been identified as a 29-year-old from Waterhen Lake First Nation.

Her death is being treated as suspicious. Saskatchewan RCMP Major Crimes is leading the investigation, supported by the Meadow Lake Detachment, the North Battleford Police Dog Service, North Battleford Forensic Identification Services, and the Saskatchewan Coroners Service.

Anyone who may have information about what happened, or who noticed anything unusual near the Highway 4 and 1 Avenue West area early that morning, is asked to contact the RCMP at 310-RCMP.
