RCMP announced on August 8th that they received a call just after 9 p.m. last Thursday, July 31st, reporting an assault at a residence in Behchokǫ.

When officers arrived, they found an unconscious man with severe injuries. He was transported to the hospital, where he later passed away.

At this time, no arrests have been made.
