Peel Police Investigate Homicide After Late-Night Fight in Brampton

Peel Regional Police responded to the report of a fight in the area of Centre Street and Queen Street East at around 12:30 a.m. on August 5th.

On arrival, emergency services located a 39-year-old male and female from Brampton suffering from non-life-threatening injuries. They were transported to a local hospital.

The investigation led officers to a third victim, a 78-year-old woman from Brampton in the same area, who was pronounced deceased.

All three victims suffered injuries from an edged weapon.

Wilfred Kent, a 64-year-old from Brampton, is charged with the following:

  • Second Degree Murder
  • Aggravated Assault X2

He was held for a bail hearing and attended the Ontario Court of Justice in Brampton.
