Grand Forks RCMP responded to a report of a shooting inside a rural residence on Granby Road on April 16th at 2:00am.

Police and BC Ambulance Service located the 33-year-old adult man, suffering from an apparent gunshot wound, and immediately began life-saving measures. The man succumbed to his injuries and was declared deceased at the scene.

A 43-year-old man was taken into custody at the scene, and has since been released.

Both parties are known to each other, and there is no risk to the public. Anyone with information are asked to contact the BC RCMP Serious Crime Unit at 1-877-543-4822.
