Edmonton police identify shooting victim as Darrin Dean Cross, in the city’s 30th murder

The Edmonton Police Service is investigating what could end up being the 30th homicide of 2020 in Edmonton. There were 28 homicides in 2019.

A deceased individual was found inside a residence by Northwest Division patrol members at a residence near 120 Avenue and 102 Street. This occurred at approximately 4:45 am this morning. Police were responding to a weapons complaint. As of now no other information on the individual has been released.

Update November 17th
Edmonton police have identified the victim as Darrin Dean Cross, 37. An autopsy revealed the cause of death to be a gunshot wound and the manner of death a homicide.
