Jonathan Shawkence, the victim of a homicide on First Nation territory remembered as a loving, energetic, and kind-hearted young man

Anishinabek Police Service and Lambton County OPP responded to an incident on Kettle and Stony Point First Nation on November 8th where they located a person dead at the scene. No further details have been released.

As a result of the investigation, police informed the public to be on the lookout for Evan Wolfe, 26, who was considered armed and dangerous.

Wolfe was arrested in Windsor ON,  without incident on November 9th, and has been charged with first-degree murder.

Update November 12th
Lambton OPP has identified the deceased as Jonathan Shawkence, 25, from Kettle and Stony Point FN. An online fundraiser has been organized to help his mother with funeral costs.
