Winnipeg Police Service responded to a report of a shooting in the 400 block of Redwood Avenue on August 7, 2024, at approximately 10:30 p.m.
Police arrived to find an injured male suffering from serious injuries. Emergency medical care was provided, the injured male was transported to the hospital in critical condition, and later pronounced deceased. The deceased has been identified as Colin Jessie BERNARDIN HEBERT, 32, of Winnipeg.
Pierre FLETT (36) of Winnipeg has been charged with the following:
- Second Degree Murder
- Possession of a Prohibited or Restricted Firearm with Ammunition
- Possession of Firearm, Restricted/Prohibited Weapon or Ammunition Contrary to Prohibition Order x 5
- Possession of Scheduled Substance – Methamphetamine
- Unauthorized Possession of a Firearm in Motor Vehicle
- Fail to Comply with Condition of Release Order x 3
- Warrant – Fail to Comply with Condition of Release Order x 2
Jared Jackson BUSHIE (32) of Winnipeg has been charged with the following:
- Second Degree Murder
Update: On November 12, 2024, a third person was arrested in relation to the August 7th murder of Colin BERNARDIN HEBERT during a shooting on Redwood Avenue.
A 28-year-old female, Raine Janelle Dakota GAUTHIER of Winnipeg has been charged with Second Degree Murder and detained in custody.
GAUTHIER and the deceased were known to each other.
