Peel Region Police investigate a double homicide at a Brampton Father’s Day event

Emergency services responded to a call for shots fired in the area of Gateway Boulevard and Queen Street East in Brampton on June 19th at approximately 2:00am.

Two victims were located in the parking lot Chandni Convention Centre where an annual Father’s Day ball was underway. Kenroy Andre Benjamin, a 28-year-old man from Bolton was pronounced deceased at the scene, and Sheldon Taylor, a 40-year-old man from Whitby was transported to a local trauma centre, where he died from his injuries.

There is no suspect information available to share; however, this is believed to be an isolated incident.
