Emergency services responded to a call for a shooting in the area of Bramalea Road & Bovaird Drive in Brampton on May 30th at approximately 10:26pm.

On arrival at the location, police were unable to locate a victim. At 11:09pm, another call was received reporting a man without vitals in a greenspace area of Heart Lake Road and Copperfield Road in Brampton. Police located The victim who has been identified as Shem St. Marie, a 23-year-old man of no fixed address. St. Marie was pronounced deceased at the scene.

No arrests have been made and no suspect information is available at this time. Anyone with information on this incident, surveillance or dashcam footage, that may have captured the moments leading up to, during, or after the incident is asked to contact investigators at 905-453-2121 extension 3205
