The 2024 Brampton Homicide Victim List is available here

Peel Region police were called to a shooting at St Tropez Ct and Millstone Dr on August 30th at approximately 12:55am.

On arrival police located a man suffering from a gunshot wound inside a vehicle. The victim was pronounced deceased at the scene. At the family’s request, we are not releasing the victim’s identity.

Shortly before midnight on August 30, 2024, detectives arrested a man in his 20’s from Brampton. He was held in custody pending a bail hearing before the Ontario Court of Justice and has been charged with First Degree Murder.

While the motive for the shooting remains under investigation, detectives are confident that this shooting was isolated to the individuals involved and does not appear to be random.
