The 2022 Ottawa Homicide Victim List is available here

Ottawa Police and emergency responders were called to the area of Tompkins Ave. and Tenth Line Rd on the report of injured people on October 5th at 8:53 p.m.

On arrival police located one man deceased, a second man was located with critical injuries and was rushed to hospital where he later succumbed to his injuries. A third man received non-life-threatening injuries and was released from hospital.

The victims have been identified as  28-year-old Krishel Kanin Murphy-Nimblett and Mohamed Omar Mohamed, 23, both of Ottawa. Investigators have determined that their deaths were a result of an exchange of gunfire between the two. The two men were both seated inside a car at the time. 

No suspects are being sought and the investigation continues to determine the events that led to this tragic event.
