Ottawa police believe the death of Abdulrahman Al-Shammari & Dirie Olol are connected

Ottawa police responded to the Queensway Carleton Hospital on July 24th at approximately 7 am on report of a man with a gunshot wound. That man remains in hospital in stable condition.

Shortly after that report police responded to the area of Elmhurst Park in the city’s west end. Police arrived to find Abdulrahman Al-Shammari, 26, deceased. Al-Shammari died of a a gunshot wound.

At approximately noon, police received a report of an abandoned vehicle located in the city’s west end.  On arrival police located the vehicle, with a deceased male inside. The victim was identified as Dirie Olol, 27. Police said Olol also died of a gunshot wound.

Update July 26
Ottawa police have issued a Canada wide warrant for Alam Gabriel Buoc (pictured below) in relation to the homicides of Abdurahman Al-Shammari and Dirie Olol. Buoc is wanted on two charges of First-degree murder, and one of Attempted murder.

Buoc is described as lack male, 6’4” (193cm), 201 lbs (91 kg), thin build, with short black hair.

Update July 28
Alam Gabriel BUOC, 30 of Ottawa, has been arrested. Police said that Buoc was arrested in the late evening of Thursday July 27th. Buoc if facing two charges of first-degree murder and one of attempted murder.
