Steven Butler stabbed to death in Ottawa, 19-year-old Nick Vanasse charged with murder.

Ottawa police responded to the Whitton Crescent and Whitton Place area in regards to a disturbance on September 8th at approximately 2:40am.

Police and paramedics arrived to find 47-year-old Steven Butler suffering from serious injuries. Butler was rushed to hospital where he died of his injuries.

Ottawa police have charged Nick Vanasse, 19 years old of Ottawa, with second-degree murder.

Ottawa police say the suspicious death of Kenneth Ammaklak a homicide

Ottawa police responded to report of a suspicious death in a residential building at 251 Donald Street, on May 14th at approximately 6:00am.

Police arrived to find Kenneth Ammaklak, 31 years old of Ottawa deceased. Martin Frampton, 27, of no fixed address was arrested on May 23 and remains in custody. Police have not released the cause of death or charges at this time.

Emilio Jimenez dies from a gunshot wound in Ottawa’s latest homicide

Ottawa police responded to report of a shooting on York Street on April 18th at approximately 2:00am.

Police arrived to find Emilio Jimenez, 25, suffering from life threatening injuries. Jimenez was rushed to hospital where he died of his injuries. Police said “no other information will be given so not to compromise the integrity of the investigation.

Anas Mujber, 24, of Edmonton has been arrested and charged with second-degree murder.

Yonis Barkhadle died as a result of a shooting at South Keys Mall in Ottawa

Ottawa police responded to reports of a shooting at South Keys Mall on November 23rd at approximately 6:30 pm.

Police and paramedics located Yonis Barkhadle, 27 years old of Ottawa, suffering from multiple gunshot wounds in the parking lot. Barkhadle was rushed to hospital where he died of his injuries.

No arrests have been made at this time.

Guled Ahmed, of Toronto, shot to death in Ottawa

Ottawa police responded to a report of possible shots fired in the 100 block of Carruthers Avenue at approx. 3:42am on October 30th.

Police arrived to find Guled Ahmed, 23, of Toronto, deceased at the scene. No arrests have been made, and police said the investigation is ongoing.

Ottawa police investigating a suspicious death of Mohamad Mana at a Marriott Hotel

Ottawa police responded to a call for assistance at the 1100 block of Walkley Road, on September 15th at approximately 11:00pm.

Police arrived at the scene and located a deceased male in one of the hotel rooms. The Major Crime Unit is investigating, and treating the death as suspicious.

Canada Wide warrant has been issued for the arrest of Tristan Campbell, in relation to the death of Abdifatah Osman

Ottawa police responded to a shooting that occurred in the 1-100 block of Patola Private on Sunday, May 27, at approximately 7:20pm.

Police arrives to find Abdifatah Osman, 31, deceased at the scene and a 23 year old female who suffered non-life threatening injuries and was treated at hospital.

A Canada Wide warrant has been issued for the arrest of Tristan Campbell, 34.  If anyone has any information regarding his current whereabouts do not approach him, call 9-1-1 immediately.

Elisabeth Salm dies after serious assault at The Ottawa Christian Science Reading Centre

Ottawa police are investigating after 59-year-old Elisabeth Salm, suffered serious life-threatening injuries during an attack at the Christian Science Reading Centre at 141 Laurier Avenue West on May 24th.

Salam was found by a coworker bloody on the ground. She was rushed to hospital where she died of her injuries.

Police arrested Tyler Hikoalok, 18, on May 27th. Hikoalok has been charged with First degree murder.

Opiny P’Ochieng found dead in Ottawa

Ottawa police say Opiny P’Ochieng, 49, was found dead by a passerby in the area of Russell Road and Southvale Crescent at about 3:30am on May 5th.

Opiny was last seen at a at an Ultramar gas station in the area of  Montreal Road and Cantin Street between 3:00 and 3:30am.

Ottawa Police are asking nearby establishments to check their video security systems for any sightings of Mr. P’Ochieng. He is decribed as a black male, 5’4” (163cm) and 130lbs.
