The 2023 Ontario Homicide Victim List is available here

OPP responded to a wellness check on Kirkpatrick Street in Kirkland Lake on August 8th at a home on Kirkpatrick Street in Kirkland Lake.

On arrival police located a man and woman deceased. Their identities have not been released at this time, however, their deaths have been deemed a double homicide.

Police have not released any further details at this time. but said they are looking to see if the most recent homicides are linked to the July 30th deaths of Amanda Lachapelle, 37, and Gabriel Marecki, 49.

Anyone with video footage that may show part of Kirkpatrick Street or the surrounding neighbourhood between Aug. 5 and Aug 8 is asked to contact the Kirkland Lake OPP at 705-567-5355.
