North Battleford Man Tyson Mosquito Found Dead in Alley, RCMP Launch Homicide Investigation

Battlefords RCMP responded to a report of an injured man in an alley behind a home on 105 Street in North Battleford, Saskatchewan on April 28, 2026, around 4:00 p.m.

Officers arrived quickly and found the man, who was taken to hospital by EMS but later died. He has been identified as 36-year-old Tyson Mosquito of North Battleford, and his family has been informed.

Police say the death is suspicious, and the Saskatchewan RCMP Homicide Investigation Unit is now leading the case.

Investigators are asking residents in the 105 Street area to review any security or doorbell camera footage recorded between 3:40 p.m. and 4:00 p.m. on April 28 and report anything unusual. They are also urging anyone who had contact with Tyson Mosquito in the hours or days before his death to come forward.

A was has been issued for Tyson Cummer’s arrest. He is wanted for second-degree murder. Saskatchewan RCMP report that Tyson Cummer was taken into custody on Saturday at a residence in Cut Knife. The arrest followed a coordinated investigation involving the RCMP’s homicide unit, crime reduction team, and the local Cut Knife detachment.
